During my recent visit to Byron Bay, I discovered another Australian-made brand.
"iKOU" "IKOU".

It sounds like a familiar word, doesn't it? The brand name is apparently derived from the Japanese word "rest."
The brand was founded in 2007. It is an organic skincare and bodycare brand that is formulated and manufactured in the heart of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park, about 80 km from Sydney, NSW.
By combining beauty and wellness, we help relieve everyday stress and address both the mind and body.
The shop is located in a corner of Byron Bay where many stylish shops are lined up, and the moment you step inside you are greeted with a pleasant aroma that starts the ritual.

The store had a wide selection of skin care, body and bath products, and there was a large bathtub at the very back of the store.
I spoke to the staff and they are particular about using Australian plants, are 100% vegan and cruelty-free, and are also environmentally conscious, having won numerous awards for their eco-business using solar and wind-powered appliances.

As the name "iKOU" suggests, I tried out several testers, and all of them had a relaxing scent that made me want to take a deep breath.
I bought an alcohol-free cleansing lotion. It contains plenty of organic calendula, pomegranate, wild hibiscus, and other botanical ingredients, and it refreshes the skin with a refreshing scent. Thanks to powerful moisturizing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, the skin feels firm while being moisturized.
As I was walking through the store, I came across a body brush that looked like a scrubbing brush. A staff member came over to me as he saw me examining it closely.

"This is used as a dry brush. I wonder if it's popular in Japan?"
I tried it out, but I felt that Japanese skin is a little hard. Also, it looked like a scrubbing brush to me, so I thought, "I think this product would be used as a kitchen tool in Japan. It would be useful for washing sinks and frying pans."
When I said that, the staff looked at me with wide eyes for a moment, but then they burst out laughing.
In addition, they also have herbal teas labeled "ZEN" and a wide selection of body massage oils.

"iKOU" was found in Byron Bay, far away from Japan.
Beautiful organic cosmetics that connect Australia and Japan.
